Georg Herold at Blickachsen 14: Contemporary Sculpture in Basel and Beyond
Nicolas Krupp Gallery artist Georg Herold is among the international talents featured in the Blickachsen 14 exhibition. Running from 18 May to 5 October 2025, this large-scale presentation places contemporary sculpture and installation art into an ongoing dialogue with historic park landscapes.
Experiencing Contemporary Art Outdoors
Spread across the Kurpark, the Gustavsgarten, and the Schlosspark in Bad Homburg, Germany, the exhibition showcases 35 works created by 26 international artists. Curated by Blickachsen founder Christian K. Scheffel alongside Carina Plath of the Sprengel Museum Hannover, the installations invite visitors to experience public art as it interacts with changing seasonal vegetation and natural light throughout the summer months.
Within the historic Schlosspark specifically, eight diverse works by creators hailing from Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Switzerland engage directly with the surrounding landscape design to generate fresh perspectives for art enthusiasts and park visitors alike.
