Espacio Marzana Marks 15 Years in Bilbao With ONG Para Coleccionistas
Celebrating a Milestone in Contemporary Art
Located right along the Bilbao Estuary, Espacio Marzana has reached its fifteenth anniversary. To mark fifteen years of supporting current artistic practice through temporary solo and group presentations, the venue launched a distinct collective exhibition titled ONG Para Coleccionistas. Conceived by Roberto Atance and Jesus Uranga, the anniversary project brings together works from thirty-three different creators associated with the space.
A Unique Acquisition Model for Visitors
The anniversary exhibition departs from traditional gallery formats by removing standard price tags from the featured artworks. Instead, visitors interested in acquiring a piece determine its cost based on whatever value they deem appropriate. Payments are deposited into a communal box, which remains sealed until the works are sold. The total funds collected are then divided equally among the large roster of participating artists.
