Artstübli Presents Artyou Walls‘21: Bringing Large-Scale Urban Art to Basel's Dreispitz
Street art has long transformed the urban environment into an open-air exhibition space, engaging directly with its surroundings and offering free access to the public. Following the initial edition of the Artyou Walls project, which brought curated facade art to the Dreispitz area, preparations are underway for its upcoming chapter.
Experiencing Contemporary Street Art on the Dreispitz
The first iteration of the project in 2019 introduced major murals to the district, most notably a towering facade painting by prominent artist Hendrik Beikirch located on Florenz-Strasse. Building on that foundation, the initiative continues to commission site-specific works by both national and international creators.
For the 2021 iteration, participating artists are set to produce new large-scale pieces across the Dreispitz grounds—including work at the TransBona-Halle, a dedicated space for cultural projects.
