ANOTHER BIRTH: Discover the 2026 Diploma Exhibition at Kunsthaus Baselland
Kunsthaus Baselland is set to host ANOTHER BIRTH, the annual graduation showcase featuring the bachelor's and master's degree works from the Institute Art Gender Nature HGK Basel FHNW. Scheduled to run from August 29 to September 13, 2026, this large-scale presentation spans both floors of the contemporary art institution's Dreispitz location. Visitors can explore new works, performances, and projects created by a cohort of around forty to fifty emerging artists as they step out of the academic environment into professional arts practice.
Exploring the 2026 Graduation Showcase in Basel
This year marks the eleventh iteration of the collaborative project between Kunsthaus Baselland, led by director Ines Goldbach, and the Institute Art Gender Nature HGK Basel FHNW, headed by Chus Martínez. To highlight the distinct significance of exhibiting in a professional institutional setting, the project is co-curated by Annette Amberg and Chus Martínez, with curatorial assistance from Emily Harries. The presentation forms a core part of the Next Generation 2026 event series and coincides with the Kunsttage Basel running from August 28 to August 30, 2026.
