Swiss Performance Art Award 2023 at Kunsthaus Baselland
Kunsthaus Baselland recently served as the national stage for the Swiss Performance Art Award. Designed to highlight the breadth and vitality of contemporary performance practices, the annual competition rotates locations across the country each year. Seven nominated artists presented live works during the weekend event on Saturday, September 23, 2023. The lineup featured distinct performative approaches by Joseph Baan & Luc Häfliger, marc norbert hörler, Neda Razavipour, Cecilia Moya Rivera, Anne Rochat, Martina-Sofie Wildberger, and Tiran Willemse.
A professional five-person jury evaluated the live presentations to determine the main prize winner, alongside an audience prize determined by attendees. The official presentation of the awards took place the following day, Sunday, September 24, 2023.
