Explore a multidisciplinary centre connecting society with contemporary art, film, literature, and performing arts inside a transformed historic municipal warehouse.
A multi-use cultural and leisure center featuring exhibition spaces, cinemas, a library, and the striking Atrium of Cultures.

Azkuna Zentroa – Alhóndiga Bilbao serves as a multidisciplinary hub in Bilbao, bridging contemporary creativity with community engagement. Housed in a former warehouse, the venue features the striking Atrium of Cultures, defined by forty-three uniquely designed architectural columns. Visitors can explore diverse programming, including contemporary art exhibitions, performing arts, and audiovisual screenings. The center also hosts a comprehensive library and creative workshops, fostering a vibrant, multi-use environment for all interests.

Designed by Ricardo Bastida, construction on the original wine warehouse in Bilbao began in 1905 and finished in 1909. Following decades of abandonment, the Basque Government designated the site as **Public Property of Cultural Interest** in 1999. A major transformation project from 2001 to 2010 converted the venue into a modern sports and culture center. Azkuna Zentroa – Alhóndiga Bilbao opened in stages during 2010 and was renamed in 2015 to honor the city's late mayor.
