Fábrica Cervezas Victoria Marks 92 Years of Heritage in Málaga with Special El Kanka Performance
Marking more than nine decades of local brewing tradition, Fábrica Cervezas Victoria recently celebrated its 92nd anniversary. The heritage of the brand traces back to September 8, when the Franquelo family initially transformed their cooperage in the El Perchel neighbourhood into a brewery. In addition to celebrating its long-standing history, the occasion also commemorated three years since the opening of the modern production facility on Avenida de Velázquez, where brews like Victoria, Pasos Largos, Marengo, and limited-edition Victoria Trigo wheat beer are crafted.
Anniversary Celebrations and Live Music at the Málaga Brewery
To observe the anniversary milestone, the brewery organized a special digital event for its community, broadcasting a free live performance directly from its Facebook page. The streaming session featured local singer-songwriter El Kanka, known across the Spanish music scene. During the broadcast, the artist performed a selection of songs spanning his discography, starting from his 2013 debut release Lo mal que estoy y lo poco que me quejo through to his 2019 work CanEpé.
The performance forms part of an ongoing acoustic concert series launched by Cervezas Victoria in 2018. Over the years, the brewery space has hosted a diverse lineup of musical acts, welcoming artists such as Viva Suecia, Depedro, La Habitación Roja, and Soledad Vélez for intimate live sessions.
