Visitors exploring Málaga's brewing heritage have a new reason to stop by Fábrica Cervezas Victoria. The cultural spot has introduced Victoria Diez, a specialty release that honors the brand's foundational history and its earliest master brewer.
Paying Tribute to Málaga's First Master Brewer
The newly launched brew draws inspiration from Henrich Dietz, who helped establish the brand's original brewery in the historic El Perchel neighborhood. Brought to Málaga by the Franquelo brothers to introduce traditional German brewing techniques, Dietz became a cherished figure among local workers and residents, who affectionately referred to him as Mr Enrique Díez.
Nearly a century later, this heritage influences the modern visitor experience at the brewery. The new creation is crafted as a Helles Bock style lager utilizing 100 percent natural ingredients and a slow-aging process. It features an amber appearance with golden highlights, complemented by notes of lightly roasted malts on the nose and a balanced, creamy profile on the palate.
