Visitors exploring Malaga’s local brewing traditions can now experience the latest addition to the city's beer family. Fábrica Cervezas Victoria has introduced Victoria Vendeja, a distinct India Pale Ale that expands the brand's permanent lineup and adds a fresh tasting option to the visitor experience at the Avenida Velázquez site.
A Taste of Local History and Regional Produce
The new IPA draws inspiration from 19th-century Malaga, paying tribute to the historical faeneras—the female workers known as vendejas who contributed to the prominence of the city's commercial port during that era.
Crafted directly at the brewery, the recipe is tailored to the local climate and palate. It features a medium body, a semi-turbid appearance, and a moderate level of bitterness, complemented by prominent fruity aromas of mango and citrus sourced from the nearby Axarquia and Valle del Guadalhorce regions.
What to Expect on Your Brewery Visit
The arrival of the IPA brings the total number of varieties produced at the facility to six. Visitors taking part in the guided brewery tour can now sample Victoria Vendeja alongside Victoria Clásica, Victoria 0.0, Victoria Pasos Largos (Radler), Victoria Marengo (black), and Victoria Malacatí (wheat).
