Curatorial context

For the eleventh consecutive year, Kunsthaus Baselland and director Ines Goldbach collaborate with the Institute Art Gender Nature HGK Basel FHNW to present a large-scale graduation exhibition. Featuring around forty to fifty emerging artists, the project occupies two floors of the Kunsthaus Baselland at Dreispitz, highlighting the culmination of the students' academic journey and their professional entry into the art scene. The exhibition is designed to bridge the academic environment and the broader professional art world. To provide a unique platform for this transition, the project features a co-curated structure involving guest curator Annette Amberg alongside Chus Martínez, head of the institute. As part of the wider 'Next Generation 2026' series, the exhibition serves as a significant showcase of contemporary practice, thematic exploration, and artistic development by the next generation of creative practitioners.
