La Casa Mágica + Juego de volúmenes brings together two distinct projects that introduce children to the concepts of architecture and design. 'La Casa Mágica,' designed by Swiss designer Adrien Rovero, is an immersive installation tailored for children aged 0 to 6. Built entirely from raw, unfinished wood, the structure reimagines the domestic space as a whimsical landscape where traditional boundaries are blurred—chimneys become climbing routes and fridges serve as gateways. It offers a unique, tactile environment that challenges daily routines and encourages new ways of navigating space. 'Juego de volúmenes,' created with architect Émilie Queney, draws inspiration from the foundational principles of Japanese architect Tadao Ando. By focusing on simple geometric volumes, light, and the relationship between empty and filled space, the installation invites children from the age of one to explore the language of construction. Through hands-on activities, participants manipulate materials to gain a concrete understanding of architectural fundamentals in a space designed for play and physical experimentation.
The exhibition is free to access. Please note that the mediation team may conduct 30-minute sessions during periods of high attendance to manage capacity; in such cases, visitors can join during designated morning or afternoon time slots. Children must be supervised by an accompanying adult at all times, and shoes must be removed before entering the installation area.
