Visitors to Salzburg can experience a unique public installation and exhibition as internationally renowned artist Stephan Balkenhol transforms historic city spaces. Titled Là ci darem la mano …—a reference to the famous duet from Wolfgang Amadé Mozart’s opera Don Giovanni—the project places opera-themed figures directly into the daily life of the city.
The presentation spans two key locations, offering a blend of public art and historic interior display. At Residenzplatz, sculptures are installed outdoors from 25 July through 2 September 2026. Running in parallel, a related exhibition opens within the state-rooms of the DomQuartier Salzburg from 27 July until 5 October 2026.
