Future Present offers an immersive exploration of the Emanuel Hoffmann Foundation's significant collection, marking its first extensive presentation in over three decades. Spanning over 5,000 square meters, the exhibition invites visitors to navigate a century of artistic production, tracing the evolution of art from the classic modernism of the early 20th century to contemporary movements. The display highlights the Foundation's enduring commitment to collecting and presenting influential art since its establishment in 1933. The exhibition encompasses diverse media including paintings, sculptures, drawings, installations, photography, and video. Notable works by artists such as Max Ernst, Hans Arp, Joan Miró, Salvador Dalí, and Robert Delaunay represent the foundational early modernist period, while the mid-20th century is anchored by iconic pieces like Joseph Beuys’s installation 'Snowfall' and major works by Bruce Nauman. The narrative extends into contemporary decades with contributions from artists including Jeff Wall, Katharina Fritsch, Robert Gober, Tacita Dean, and Peter Fischli and David Weiss, illustrating the breadth and depth of the Foundation’s long-standing dedication to the arts.
