Exploring Jardín Botánico-Histórico La Concepción After Dark: Summer Guided Night Tours in Málaga
Málaga's historic subtropical garden, Jardín Botánico-Histórico La Concepción, is opening its gates after hours this summer for a series of exclusive guided evening tours. Under the title "Noches con historia" (Nights with History), these special night walks offer visitors a rare opportunity to experience the peace and botanical charm of the estate once the general public has departed.
What to Expect on the Night Tour
The guided evening tours run for 90 minutes and lead small groups through the quiet, lamplit paths of the garden. Classified as a "Bien de Interés Cultural" (Asset of Cultural Interest), the 19th-century garden comes alive at night with rich floral aromas and a tranquil atmosphere.
As you walk among the rare plants and historic architectural features, a guide shares the storied past of the estate, which was originally created by the prominent Heredia-Loring family.

The special night tours are scheduled on select dates throughout the summer season:
- July: Fridays, July 3 and July 31, beginning at 21:00.
- August: Thursday, August 6; Fridays, August 14 and August 21; and Saturday, August 29.
- September: Fridays, September 11 and September 18.
