The world's first Viktor Frankl Museum, located in Vienna, offers an inspirational space dedicated to the life, philosophy, and psychotherapy of Viktor Frankl. Visitors are introduced to his work and gain insight into personal potential.
The Viktor Frankl Museum, inaugurated on March 26, 2015, on what would have been Viktor Frankl's 110th birthday, is situated in the very apartment where the neurologist and psychiatrist lived and worked from 1945 until his death in 1997. This space, now an inspirational museum, allows visitors to engage with Viktor Frankl's life and his groundbreaking "Third Viennese School of Psychotherapy." It delves into his philosophy, particularly his thesis on finding meaning in life even under the direst conditions, and offers insights into personal development and potential. The museum serves as an educational hub, facilitating acquaintance with Frankl's original body of thought through courses, seminars, and lectures. In March 2022, the exhibition area "The ONE Humanity - Humanity as Unity" was added, inviting visitors to reflect on monanthropism and the concept of unity despite diversity. The museum highlights Frankl's global recognition, including 29 honorary doctorates, and his enduring message of human dignity and potential that resonates across cultural barriers.
