Málaga's Museo del Cautivo y la Trinidad Announces Academic and Music Scholarships
The brotherhood associated with the Museo del Cautivo y la Trinidad has launched its annual financial aid program to support the education of local students and musicians. Managed through the organization's charity department, these grants aim to assist members of the brotherhood as well as residents of the surrounding Trinidad neighborhood during their academic training.

The Jesús Cautivo academic grants recognize the efforts of students who demonstrate strong academic performance. For this application cycle, the brotherhood is offering a total of 14 study scholarships, each valued at €300.
These grants are open to brotherhood members, their children, and local residents of the Trinidad neighborhood who are currently enrolled in the second cycle of compulsory secondary education (ESO), baccalaureate programs, intermediate or higher vocational training, or university courses. This social initiative has been running since 1989 as part of the organization's ongoing community support work in Málaga.
Music Grants for Conservatorio Superior de Música de Málaga Students
In addition to general academic aid, the brotherhood continues to support local artistic talent through the Maestro José López García music scholarships. Designed to help students overcome financial barriers, these grants assist with the purchase of instruments and necessary educational materials.
A total of six music scholarships of €300 each will be awarded. These specific grants are aimed at brotherhood members currently studying at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Málaga.
Application Deadlines and Requirements
Eligible applicants can submit their requests from April 13 to May 15, 2026. Submissions can be made in person at the brotherhood’s secretariat from Monday to Thursday between 19:30 and 21:00, or via email to [email protected] using the subject line "SOLICITUD DE BECA".
To be considered, candidates must be active members of the cofradía (and up to date on membership fees), children of active members, or registered residents of the Trinidad neighborhood. The application requires several documents, including:
- A copy of the applicant's ID (DNI)
- A signed data protection form
- Proof of residency (for neighborhood residents)
- Academic transcripts and proof of current enrollment
- Relevant financial and employment documentation for the household
An evaluation committee will review the applications and may conduct personal interviews with the students. The selected recipients will be announced individually, and the grants will be presented during the solemn religious services dedicated to María Santísima de la Trinidad Coronada in May.
