A significant artistic collaboration is making its next stop in western Andalusia. Following a successful run in Almería, the exhibition Reflections. Picasso x Barceló has opened at the Museo de Cádiz, where it will remain on view from March 26 to June 28, 2026. This exhibition brings together over one hundred pieces by Pablo Picasso and Miquel Barceló, placing them alongside ancient artifact collections to establish an artistic dialogue across centuries.

Visitors can explore two distinct geographies of clay. Picasso’s works trace back to his post-World War II period in Vallauris, where he used clay to fuse painting and sculpture, transforming traditional vessels into mythological figures. In contrast, Barceló’s ceramic journey began in the 1990s in Mali, where he adopted ancestral Dogon techniques, leaving physical imprints and experimental textures on the clay surface.
