About the Artist
Based in Reykjavík, Birgisdóttir graduated from the Iceland Academy of the Arts in 2003 and has since established an extensive international and domestic exhibition record. Notably, she represented the Icelandic Pavilion at the 60th Venice Art Biennale in 2024. Her past presentations include shows at institutions such as the Reykjavík Art Museum, GES-2 in Moscow, and H2H in Athens. Her pieces are also held in several prominent permanent collections, including the National Gallery of Iceland, the Reykjavík Art Museum, and The Living Art Museum.
