The collection features paintings created primarily in 2026. The artist deliberately uses the word toppar (peaks or tops) rather than simply tindar (summits), pointing to a broader semantic range. The works examine how elevated points of the earth draw closer to the sky, evoking themes of permanence, natural cycles, and endurance. Pálína Guðmundsdóttir, who lives and works locally, studied fine art and linguistics in Gothenburg, before continuing her studies at AKI in Enschede and the Jan van Eyck Akademie in Maastricht.
