SÍM Gallery and the Launch of Rúllandi snjóbolti 19
Visitors and contemporary art enthusiasts looking to experience international exhibitions will find an engaging new project with the opening of Rúllandi snjóbolti 19. This recurring international contemporary art exhibition brings together a diverse group of creators as a collaborative project between the ARS LONGA contemporary art museum and the China-Europe Art Center (CEAC) in Xiamen.

Marking the tenth time this initiative has been hosted in the country and its third presentation within the spaces of Ars Longa—founded in 2021 by artists Sigurður Guðmundsson and Þór Vigfússon—the exhibition serves as a dynamic platform for cross-cultural artistic exchange. This year's showcase features works by 19 participating artists, including Aðalsteinn Þórsson, Andri Björgvinsson, Arna Guðný Valsdóttir, Donglai Meng, Fangzhou Wu, Guda Koster & Frans van Tartwijk, Hanna Dís Whitehead, Hulya Yilmaz, Jin Jing, Jun Zhang, Kjartan Ari Pétursson, Kristinn E. Hrafnsson, Kristján Guðmundsson, Linus Lohmann, Meiya Lin, Rein Kooyman, Yuxuan Cui, and Þórir Freyr Höskuldsson.
Curatorial duties are managed by Heiðdís Hólm Guðmundsdóttir, Hildur Rut Halblaub, Ineke Guðmundsson, and May Lee. Additionally, this year's presentation is dedicated to the memory of artist and friend Kristján Guðmundsson (1941–2025), who maintained a strong connection to both the initiative and Ars Longa.
