SÍM Gallery in Reykjavík Hosts SAMRÆÐUR / DIALOGHI Contemporary Italian Printmaking Exhibition
Art enthusiasts in the capital have a unique opportunity to explore international graphic arts as SÍM Gallery presents SAMRÆÐUR / DIALOGHI, a dedicated showcase featuring selected works from the Italian Association of Contemporary Printmakers (Incisori Contemporanei). Running from July 10 to July 26, 2026, the exhibition highlights cross-cultural dialogue through printmaking, bringing distinctive contemporary artistic voices from Italy to local audiences.
Exploring Contemporary Printmaking at SÍM Gallery
Hosted in collaboration with the Icelandic Printmakers Association (IPA), the exhibition positions printmaking as a dynamic medium for exchange between different techniques, traditions, and cultures. Visitors exploring the venue can view a diverse selection of graphic works that demonstrate both technical mastery and personal artistic expression, reflecting the vibrant state of contemporary print arts in Italy.
This presentation marks the initial phase of a reciprocal cultural exchange between the two organizations. The partnership will continue in 2027 when a selection of works by Icelandic printmakers travels to Italy for a counterpart exhibition.
Visitor Information and Special Events
The showcase concludes on Sunday, July 26, with a final closing event featuring Rósa Björg Jónsdóttir, Honorary Consul of Italy in Iceland, as a special guest.
