Meet the Artist: Vikar Mar
Born in 1999, Vikar Mar brings a unique background to the contemporary art scene as both a self-taught visual artist and a sheep farmer based in Hjalteyri near Eyjafjörður. Maintaining a studio at Verksmiðjan á Hjalteyri since 2015, the artist has steadily developed a personal visual vocabulary. His creations have traveled to numerous solo and group exhibitions across Iceland and are represented in the collection of Menningarmiðstöð Þingeyinga.
