Visitor Amenities at the Leopold Museum

Designated parking spaces for people with disabilities are located at the rear of the Leopold Museum. Enter the Museumsquartier via the entrance close to the Volkstheater.

One on the ground floor (Euro Key access, staff assistance available) and a further one at Level -1 (manual door).

An exterior elevator provides access to the main entrance. All permanent and temporary exhibitions can be accessed barrier-free via interior elevators (cabin width 89 cm).

Assistance dogs / guide dogs are allowed to accompany visitors.

On the left side of the revolving doors of the main entrance is a single-leaf door with an opening width of 110 cm (extendable to 220 cm), fitted with an EuroKey lock.

The museum is predominantly barrier-free.

Cash desk has a wheelchair-accessible area. Wheelchairs may be borrowed free of charge in the cloakroom upon presentation of an ID.

Fitted in both accessible restrooms.

Creative and playful workshops for children aged 6-12.

Workshops take place every Saturday and Sunday from 3 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. The language spoken is German.

Available to all visitors. Dedicated coat racks can be prepared for registered groups.

Free Wi-Fi access is available for visitors.

Located on level 2, accessible via elevator or stairs. Can be visited without a museum ticket.

Located on level 1, accessible via stairs or elevator. Closes half an hour before the museum. If visiting only the shop, a deposit equivalent to the regular admission price must be left at the cash desk; shop ticket valid for 30 minutes.

Available for the permanent presentation VIENNA 1900 in German, English, Italian, French, Spanish, Ukrainian, and Korean. Also available in German and English for selected special exhibitions.

The Museumsquartier’s car park, entry Museumsplatz 1, is fitted with an elevator.

Underground stops Volkstheater U3 and U2 Museumsquartier are equipped with an elevator.

Taking animals into the Leopold Museum is prohibited for safety reasons.

Permitted without flash for private purposes in the Leopold Collection. Photo permissions for special exhibitions are found directly in the exhibition. Flashes, additional light, tripods, and selfie sticks are not permitted.

The usage of flashes, additional light, tripods, selfie sticks, and other superstructures is not permitted.

Tickets can be purchased in the museum and are valid for one year from the date of issue.
