Volle Blüte: An Inspiring Literature and Art Program at Vienna's University Botanical Garden

Volle Blüte is a literature and art programme series held at the Botanical Garden of the University of Vienna, integrating literary readings, botanical insights, music, and visual arts. The series offers various events including guided literary walks and creative workshops, aiming to connect art and nature.

The 'Volle Blüte' (Full Bloom) programme at the Botanical Garden of the University of Vienna offers a rich interdisciplinary experience, weaving together literature, art, and the natural world. This series features literary walks where authors read from their works, accompanied by botanists who connect the texts to the garden's plant life. The events are further enhanced by music and visual arts, creating multiple points of engagement. Additionally, 'Volle Blüte' includes creative workshops such as 'Papiergärten schreiben' (Writing Paper Gardens) and 'Garden Times' drawing clubs, encouraging participants to explore artistic creation inspired by nature. The programme aims to foster imagination, knowledge, and a deeper appreciation for the botanical environment through artistic expression.

Registration is required for most events; an online ticket serves as registration, with payment made on-site for some events (€10 general, €7 for members of the Friends of the Botanical Garden, free for children up to 10 years). Some events are free of charge. Specific registration details and contact information are provided for each event type. Meeting point for events at the Botanical Garden is at the garden gate at Mechelgasse 2, 1030 Vienna. For the 'Pflanzen sehen in der Stadt' walk, a subsequent panel discussion takes place at Alte Schmiede in Vienna's first district.
