The program emphasizes the diverse creative output of the local design scene, spanning product and furniture design, graphic design, and social design, with an increasing focus on sustainability and the circular economy.
This year, the festival headquarters will be located in a notable 1970s office tower at Hietzinger Kai 101, designed by architect Harry Glück. The headquarters will host various exhibitions, talks, and workshops, featuring projects by the guest participant, Luxembourg, alongside debut works from design educational institutions like the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Additionally, the festival explores practical design solutions for urban food industries, including innovations in dyes and pigments from natural resources, as well as new projects in room acoustics.
