The Donauturm Garden is a new pop-up offering on the lawns behind the tower, featuring Italian specialties and freshly prepared pizzas. Visitors can enjoy food and drinks in the designed garden area or take them to-go, with free admission and bouncy castles for children.
Opening at the end of April 2026, the "Donauturm Garden" is a new green leisure area covering approximately 400 m² on the lawns behind the tower. The concept centers around a pop-up offering Italian specialties, with a focus on freshly prepared pizzas including classics and creative variations. The menu also features desserts like tiramisu, alongside a selection of beverages such as spritz variations, cocktails, non-alcoholic drinks, and coffee. A to-go concept allows for flexible enjoyment of food and drinks, either in the garden area, which offers around 130 seats, or directly in the adjacent Donaupark. Table reservations and table service are not available; items are collected directly from the bar.
The "Donauturm Garden" is designed to be family-friendly, with free admission and a varied children’s offering, including four free bouncy castles. Managing Director Roman Bauer highlights the focus on a relaxed stay in a green setting for all ages, aiming to create an additional experience at the tower's base, appealing to spontaneous visitors, families, and tourists. The garden is initially open from Friday to Sunday, public holidays, and bridging days from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with daily operation planned during the summer holidays. The garden will close in the event of heavy rain.
