Conceived by Vincent Weisl and Cornelia Dlabaja, in collaboration with the Bezirksmuseum Ottakring, the exhibition offered diverse perspectives on the market's history. It delved into the previously untold stories of change, labor, migration, protest, urban development, and daily life at the market, organized into six distinct chapters. The exhibition traced the evolution of the market through specific examples, such as the shift from selling sauerkraut in wooden containers to plastic tubs. The project was rooted in Cornelia Dlabaja's extensive research on the market, which included interviews with market traders, residents, and entrepreneurs. Excerpts from these interviews and personal experiences were integrated into the exhibition. Complementing the physical display, an online exhibition was also created, accessible via the website www.migrationsgeschichte.com. The touring exhibition was further enriched by a varied program of events throughout the summer, including curator-led tours, workshops for children and youth, an Insta Walk, and a panel discussion on the Brunnenviertel's transformation.
