Visitor Amenities at York Castle Museum

Accessible toilets are available in the museum.

There are two accessible toilets in the museum, one on each side of the building. Both are gender neutral toilets and include baby changing facilities.

Lift provides access to upper floors.

Located on the right-hand side of the building, including the 1914 exhibition. Access is limited to two wheelchair users at a time due to fire evacuation requirements.

Assistance dogs are allowed in the museum.

Owners should bring their Assistance Dog UK (ADUK) identification book and animals should wear the appropriate tabard or harness.

The main entrance area is fully accessible.

Ground floor features ramp access to the Victorian Street.

Baby changing facilities provided.

Available in the accessible toilets.

Seating is available around the museum.
