Casita del Jardinero – CIFAL Málaga has served as the venue for the introduction of a pioneering digital platform designed to monitor and evaluate hate speech across online spaces in Andalusia. Developed in collaboration with the CIEDES Foundation and European project partners, the initiative aims to transform online discourse into measurable insights to support academic research, public policy, and institutional awareness.

The newly unveiled system focuses on tracking user comments on digital media channels, specifically examining discussions hosted on YouTube and X. By processing thousands of messages, the platform creates clear visualizations of how online hostility spreads, identifying emerging conversational patterns, target groups, and intensity levels across the region.
Rather than relying purely on automated keyword searches, the project combines artificial intelligence with human expert validation. Automated systems flag potentially relevant comments, while specialists review the content to account for context, tone, and intent. This methodology ensures that discussions are categorized accurately—distinguishing between legitimate critique and harmful rhetoric—while maintaining strict privacy protocols through irreversible data anonymization.
