The Casa de las Naciones Unidas en Málaga recently became a hub for environmental discussion, hosting a specialized gathering dedicated to local climate action, corporate governance, and sustainability.
Marking World Environment Day—an international initiative established by the UN Environment Programme to drive global awareness and protection of nature—the landmark 1912 pavilion in Málaga Park welcomed academics, institutional leaders, and corporate representatives for a collaborative forum.

The roundtable discussion, titled "Sustainability, ESG, and Climate Action from the Local Level," brought together a diverse group of specialists to analyze territorial challenges and sustainable growth opportunities.
Participants included academic voices such as Ángel Enrique Salvo Tierra, director of the Climate Change Chair at the University of Málaga; Enrique Navarro Jurado, head of the Tourism Intelligence and Innovation Research Institute (i3t); and Jose Damian Ruiz Sinoga, chair of Physical Geography at the university.
