Paz Errázuriz Poetics of Resistance Exhibition at MUCAC La Coracha

This exhibition marks the first retrospective in Andalusia of the renowned Chilean photographer Paz Errázuriz, showcasing 75 works that span her career. The collection highlights her commitment to social documentation, capturing the dignity and humanity of individuals living on the margins of society during the turbulent years of the Pinochet dictatorship.

Paz Errázuriz. Poetics of Resistance presents an intimate look at the work of one of Chile's most significant contemporary photographers. Developed in collaboration with the Fundación Mapfre, the exhibition draws on 75 photographs to illustrate Errázuriz's unique ability to enter into the private worlds of those often ignored or excluded by mainstream society. Her practice, established in the challenging climate of 1970s Chile, transcends traditional documentary photography through a process of deep engagement, trust, and mutual respect with her subjects. By focusing on intimate spaces and the resilience of those living in precarious conditions, the exhibition offers a powerful reflection on the social and political history of Chile. Admission to the museum is free for all visitors. Guided tours are available on Thursdays at 19:00 and Sundays at 13:00, beginning July 2nd.
