Visitor Amenities at Vyšehrad

A small parking lot with a reserved parking space is available in front of the Jedlička Institute building (between the Leopold and Tábor Gates).

Accessible toilets are available at the Old Burgrave’s House and a public toilet in V Pevnosti street.

Old Burgrave’s House: partially accessible toilet on the ground floor (door width 81 cm; cubicle width 140–158 cm). Public toilet at V Pevnosti: accessible toilet (door width 80 cm; cubicle width 196 cm, depth 208 cm), equipped with one folding and one fixed handle.

A platform stair lift provides access to the basement of the Gothic Cellar, which houses the main exposition.

Transport area width 89 cm, depth 122 cm; load capacity 250 kg.

The Vyšehrad zone is relatively barrier-free in places, but movement is complicated by frequent rough historical paving, significant inclines, and transverse slopes.

For this excursion, accompaniment is definitely recommended. Vyšehrad does not offer any ideal access route, but it is worth overcoming occasional elevations and uneven terrain.

Access to Vyšehrad is possible by metro line C.

It is essential to get off the train onto the platform in the direction heading out of the centre, facing toward the Vltava; the opposite platform is not accessible. A four-section ramp leads from the metro exit to the adjacent park.
