Curatorial context

The exhibition project ANDROS delves into how contemporary Central European art engages with the male body as a subject of doubt, exploration, and redefinition. Curated by writer Vratislav Maňák, the exhibition builds upon his conceptual explorations from his book 'With Wittgenstein in a Gay Sauna'. Maňák, an award-winning Czech writer and literary historian, uses the exhibition to further develop his discourse on intimacy, memory, and the conditions of existence in Central Europe, presenting art that grapples with the complexities of masculinity today.
