The exhibition, spread over three floors, presents over 700 items from across the globe, charting the evolution of timekeeping from the 15th century to the recent past. Highlights include a 17th-century tower clock from St. Stephen's Cathedral, renowned 'Laterndluhren' from the Viennese Biedermeier period, the pocket watch collection of writer Marie von Ebner-Eschenbach, and an astronomical art clock by David a Sancto Cajetano. Beyond technical precision, the museum also delves into the history of arts and crafts and social shifts related to timekeeping, tracing its origins to two significant private collections.
