Exploring the Future of Austrian Architecture: An Exhibition on Sustainable Building Challenges

This exhibition delves into how architecture transforms when architects consistently address social and environmental concerns, exploring what this future-oriented architecture might resemble and how young practitioners can secure meaningful commissions or initiate their own projects. The exhibition's forefield includes a series of interviews with and by those concerned, gathering the concerns and positions of young architects, which were then collectively refined in workshops across Austria. The exhibition itself serves as a snapshot of this new generation, characterized by tactical optimism despite facing multiple crises. It presents an open mapping that compiles the involved issues and positions, inviting further contributions, and acts as a platform demonstrating approaches and strategies that offer opportunities for young architects.
