An exhibition at the Botanical Garden of the University of Vienna featuring a group of artists from 'quit nature' exploring the complex relationship between humans and the natural world. The artworks address themes of biodiversity, ecological crises, and humanity's interconnectedness with nature.

The 'quit nature' exhibition, held in the Kalthaus at the Botanical Garden of the University of Vienna, presents a group of artists exploring the intricate relationship between humanity and nature. The collection of diverse works prompts reflection on our own connection to the natural world, questioning what 'nature' means and challenging our value systems regarding utility and beauty. In light of ecological crises, climate change, and accelerated extinction rates, the exhibition underscores the human role within complex ecosystems and highlights the detrimental effects of economic rationalization and digital alienation. It aims to open perspectives for understanding interdependencies and the importance of biodiversity, advocating for a necessary shift in our consciousness towards nature to foster protective behaviors.

The exhibition is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm. Specific opening hours apply on the day of the finissage. Artists may be present during exhibition hours. Postcards of selected works are available.
