Volle Blüte: A Series of Literary Events & Cultural Attractions at the Botanical Garden of the University of Vienna

Volle Blüte, meaning 'Full Bloom,' is a series of literary events held at the Botanical Garden of the University of Vienna. These events combine art and nature, knowledge and imagination, featuring readings by authors, botanical insights, music, and visual arts.

The 'Volle Blüte' program at the Botanical Garden of the University of Vienna offers a unique interdisciplinary experience that bridges the realms of art, literature, and nature. Through literary walks, authors read from their works, with botanists providing context and connection to the diverse plant life within the garden. The series also incorporates elements of music and visual arts to create a richer, multi-sensory engagement. Additionally, 'Blattentfaltungen' (Leaf Unfoldings) writing workshops are offered, inviting participants to engage in their own literary creation inspired by the botanical surroundings. This program aims to foster a deeper appreciation for both the written word and the natural world.

Pre-registration is required via the provided link. Tickets cost €10, with a reduced price of €7 for members of the Association of Friends of the Botanical Garden. Entry is free for children up to 10 years old. Payment for the literary walks is made on-site. Writing workshops have a separate participation fee of €45 per course.
