Wild Diversity in the Garden is an exhibition exploring the complex and often unseen life within botanical and private gardens. Featuring seventeen large-format panels, the exhibition highlights diverse organism groups and ecological relationships, encouraging visitors to promote biodiversity in their own green spaces.

Gardens are more vibrant and diverse than one might expect, harboring a wealth of life beyond the plants themselves. This exhibition, organized by the Association of Botanical Gardens, makes these complex ecological networks visible. By examining groups such as fungi, mosses, microorganisms, insects, and vertebrates, the exhibition illuminates the vital role gardens play as living ecosystems. Located along the main avenue of the Botanical Garden, the exhibition uses seventeen large-format display panels to showcase these ecological relationships. These are supplemented by informational profiles throughout the garden that detail specific habitats and offer actionable advice for home gardeners or balcony owners to foster greater biodiversity. The project invites visitors to discover the hidden life existing right alongside them.

No advance registration is required for the exhibition. Tickets can be purchased directly at the porter's lodge at the main entrance of the Botanical Garden of the University of Vienna.
