This exhibition explores trans culture, life, art, and activism through four thematic rooms inspired by the community code 'T4T = trans for trans'. It showcases diverse trans, inter, and non-binary perspectives, art positions, and archival practices, including a participatory timeline and documentary works addressing legal cases and self-determination.
"4T – The Trans Body Rights Ar/ctivist Archive" focuses on trans body rights and activism, inspired by the solidarity politics of 'T4T = trans for trans'. The exhibition is divided into four rooms, each exploring specific themes within trans culture, life, art, and activism. It highlights the interconnectedness of trans, inter, and non-binary (tin) cultures. Featured artists like Rory Midhani, Lia la novia Sirena, and Danielle Pamp present visual worlds of trans bodies. An installation by Vinko Nino Jaeger creates a space for trans desire and existence, leading into "activist laundry" and a participatory timeline on local trans history and activism by Perry Persson Baumgartinger and Frederik Marroquín. The exhibition emphasizes community archiving practices, drawing parallels to the AIDS Memorial Quilt, and includes documentary works by Giegold/Weiß, Jako Wende, and Kai*Brust that address legal cases and historical persecution. Luce DeLire and Fadi Aljabour examine current self-determination rights. The exhibition stands against transphobic backlashes and discrimination, celebrating trans joy, art, activism, and resistance, with diverse voices and multimedia formats open to all visitors.
