Curatorial context

Tree is a collaborative exhibition hosted at The Christoph Moser Gallery, featuring eight artists invited to explore their connection to arboreal life. The artists were encouraged to interpret the theme through personal, environmental, or aesthetic lenses, resulting in a varied collection that includes painting, sculpture, and photography. Participants include Joe Byerley, Claire Clark, Rodney Harris, Florien Hazenberg, Tink Munro, Myrna Quinonez, Kirsty Thomas, and Diana Zapata Mejia. The project is curated by Louise Rushford and Nina Harrison-Leins. In addition to the artworks on display, the exhibition is supported by an outreach programme designed to engage the local community. This includes partnerships with local schools and the charity More Trees Banes, which provides environmental education and seed planting sessions. As part of this commitment to nature, a silver birch tree donated by the charity will be planted in the studio's riverside garden to mark the occasion.
