Artists in Residence 2025/26: New Acquisitions highlights the creative output of twelve talented artists who completed their production grants at the BilbaoArte Foundation. The exhibition serves as a platform for the latest generation of residents to share their work, encompassing a wide array of mediums and conceptual approaches. From innovative uses of ceramics and photographic narratives to explorations of the domestic sphere and bodily gestures, the exhibition invites visitors to contemplate current shifts in contemporary art production. Beyond individual works, the exhibition highlights the investigative nature of these artists, including the creation of unique artist books that offer insight into their distinct working processes. These pieces, now part of the BA Collection, offer a multifaceted view of contemporary creation, encouraging dialogue around themes of rootedness, spatial perception, and the boundary between image and form.

Admission and ticket notes

Entry to the exhibition is free of charge. The gallery is open from Tuesday to Saturday between 11.00 am and 8.00 pm, and on Sundays and public holidays from 11.00 am to 2.00 pm, with a lunch break closure between 2.00 pm and 4.00 pm on weekdays/Saturdays; the venue is closed on Mondays. Guided tours in Spanish and Basque are available by scheduled appointment during the exhibition period.
