Creative Maritime Family Workshop at Museo de Málaga
Families visiting Málaga have a unique opportunity to combine art history with hands-on creativity. The Museo de Málaga is hosting a special family workshop designed to bring the museum's historic marine art collection to life through the imagination of its youngest visitors.
Led by the educational group A2 Paneque Catalán, the session promises an engaging, interactive experience inside one of the city's premier cultural institutions.
Discovering Málaga's Coastline Through Art
The workshop takes direct inspiration from Málaga's historic port and scenic bay, themes that have captured the imagination of local painters for generations. Participants will explore the museum's seascape gallery, focusing on classic works such as the dramatic marine painting La última ola (Naufragio) by Emilio Ocón y Rivas.
Following the gallery exploration, children will head to the workshop space to let their creativity run wild. Using a variety of craft materials, participants will design and construct their own colorful sea creatures, including fish and jellyfish. The activity concludes with a unique photo session back in the seascape gallery, symbolically filling the historic painted waters with new, vibrant marine life.
How to Join the Family Activity
This hands-on event is tailored specifically for families with children aged 6 to 12. All participating minors must be accompanied by an adult throughout the session.

- Admission: The workshop is entirely free of charge, though capacity is strictly capped at 26 participants.
