Visitor Amenities at the National Technical Museum

Three reserved parking spots for vehicles with a disabled parking card are available.

Located at the corner of Kostelní and Muzejní streets. They are often occupied. Additional parking in the museum grounds may be available for groups of wheelchair users by prior arrangement.

Several barrier-free toilets are available in the museum building.

One accessible toilet on the ground floor (nulté podlaží) is open without a key and equipped with a euro lock, grab bars, 50cm high toilet, 85cm high sink, and sufficient space (172 x 172 cm). Other accessible toilets are located in the foyers of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors, which are always open.

Two elevators provide access to different floors of the building.

One elevator is specifically for wheelchair users to reach most floors (width 120 cm, depth 110 cm, door 80 cm, buttons 100 cm). Another elevator goes to the third basement (-3) for the Mining exhibition, but this area is not wheelchair accessible and requires prior arrangement and staff accompaniment.

A special entrance with a ramp is available for visitors on wheelchairs or with other limitations.

Located to the right of the main staircase. Has a doorbell (at 100 cm height) for staff assistance. Leads to the restaurant in the first basement.

The museum is generally accessible for wheelchair users, with some exceptions.

A special entrance with a ramp is available. Movement inside is mostly smooth, but the Ore and Coal Mine exhibition is inaccessible. Some parts require platforms or staff assistance. A wheelchair is available for loan for visitors with limited mobility. For planned visits by multiple wheelchair users, a rear technical entrance to the Transport exhibition and parking in the museum grounds can be used by prior arrangement.

Parking is available in the museum grounds.

Additional parking is possible in the NTM grounds behind the southern gate.

The museum is accessible by public transport.

The nearest tram stop is Letenské náměstí, approximately 550 meters walk from the museum.
