The exhibition is structured across four perspectives: the basement reveals the institution's foundations and associated personalities; the first floor showcases its buildings; the second floor focuses on its collections; and the dome highlights current projects. Beyond prominent figures, it also features lesser-known donors, museologists, and even visitors, examining their backgrounds and evolving views. Josef Schulz himself, the architect responsible for both the Historical Building and its equipment, is prominently featured. The exhibition also extends its scope beyond the main museum complex, touching upon the past of other branches, such as the Czech Museum of Music and the Náprstek Museum.
