Exhibition summary

The fourth installment of the long-term project 'Point of View' presents an exhibition and classroom space focused on resilience as a form of resistance that may not be immediately visible. It explores how art can open space for slowing down, paying attention, and finding strength in fragility, understanding resilience as a quality of relationships with oneself, others, and the world.

Curatorial context

Resilience, as presented in this exhibition, is not about stoicism but rather an intimate, resolute form of resistance that alters our perception of the world. It acts as a personal current against indifference and simplification, with the potential to grow into a collective movement. This fourth iteration of the 'Point of View' project merges an exhibition with an educational space, inviting visitors to slow down, pay attention, and engage with shared experiences. The artistic approaches encourage lingering with uncertainty, simultaneous thinking and feeling, and recognizing strength within fragility, framing resilience primarily as a relational quality. The selected works often engage from less overt positions, influencing thought, sensitivity, and attention to processes and social relationships rather than broad public statements. They aim to transform perception, suggesting that active participation in the world may require perceptiveness and attentiveness more than loudness, especially in a complex and fast-paced environment. Echoing previous installments in the series, the theme of mental resilience is informed by ideas originating from young visitors to DOX.
