Bíó Paradís Hosts Young Audience Award Event With Special Screening of Arco
Independent art-house hub Bíó Paradís in Reykjavík is set to host a special cinematic event celebrating young viewers as part of the European Film Academy's upcoming initiative. Audiences attending the upcoming screening will step directly into the role of the jury, helping decide the winner of the European Film Awards' young audience category.

On Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 15:00, Bíó Paradís—in collaboration with the Icelandic Film Centre and the Reykjavík International Children's Film Festival—will present a screening of the animated adventure Arco. Following the feature, attendees can watch a live stream of the official award ceremony.

What to Expect at the Screening
Directed by Ugo Bienvenu, Arco follows a ten-year-old traveler from a distant future who journeys back to the year 2075, encountering a world facing environmental peril. The feature was originally premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival and earned top honors as best feature at Annecy 2025.
