Hafnarborg ExhibitionThe foundation for Hafnarborg was established in 1983 in Hafnarfjörður through a private home and art collection donation. Officially opening as a public art museum in 1988, the institution became the *first in Iceland* to fully computerize its collections catalog. The holdings expanded in 1990 with over four hundred paintings gifted by artist Eiríkur Smith, while the venue hosted chamber music concerts until 2012.
