Salurinn Concert Hall, situated on Kópavogur's Culture Hill, has introduced a refreshed format for its well-known Tíbrá concert series. Aiming to create a relaxed Sunday atmosphere for local music enthusiasts, the venue has adjusted both the timing and structure of the performances.
A New Sunday Format and Pre-Concert Introductions
Under the updated schedule, Tíbrá concerts take place on Sundays, beginning at 1:30 PM. To deepen the experience for attendees, each performance is preceded by a special pre-concert talk offering insight into the upcoming musical program. Doors open early at 12:00 PM, allowing visitors to purchase light refreshments from Krónikan before the events begin.
For the series' opening event, musician Benedikt Kristjánsson joined Elísabet Indra Ragnarsdóttir for a public discussion on Franz Schubert’s renowned song cycle Die Schöne Müllerin (Malarastúlkukastslan fögru).
