Brew York Brewery Tour Spotlights International Women's Day 2026 with Slay Queen IPA Launch
Independent craft beer producer Brew York has announced the release of a brand-new West Coast IPA named Slay Queen, created specially to mark International Women’s Day 2026. Known locally for its interactive Brew York Brewery Tour, the independent city-centre brewery has combined community collaboration with classic brewing styles for this latest seasonal release.
What to Expect from the Slay Queen West Coast Release
Brewed to traditional West Coast specifications, Slay Queen leans into a crisp, clean bitterness rather than hazy modern styles. Drinkers can expect pronounced resinous hop profiles, bright citrus notes, and punchy pine aromas.
The concept draws inspiration from the independence and strength of fictional icon Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Beyond the flavour profile, the release serves as a tribute to female representation and resilience across the wider hospitality and brewing sectors.
Behind the Collaborative Brew Day in York
The recipe came to life during a collaborative session held at the Osbaldwick production site. The team invited women from across the internal staff as well as various trade customers to take part in the hands-on brewing process.
According to team members Jess Chaney and Sam Warren-Close, the shared brew day provided a dedicated platform to highlight female voices within the industry while crafting a distinctive seasonal beer.
The new IPA officially launches for public availability via the Brew York official website and select independent retailers. Visitors looking to learn more about the city's vibrant craft beer scene can discover upcoming seasonal schedules and other local cultural highlights on Musemap (musemap.art), or plan an itinerary using the interactive map view.
