Sinha's project delves into the enduring impact of India's 1947 Partition, using his personal family archive to investigate the complex interplay of memory and identity. The artist's visual language evolved organically, aiming for an understated, atmospheric quality that intentionally avoids clichés often associated with representations of India. A key aspect of his approach is maintaining the anonymity of his subjects, ensuring no individual is visually implicated without consent. This acquisition is part of initiatives like Foam Talent now, which highlights new developments from artists featured in the programme.
